Double Olympic Gold Medallist and Great Britain’s most successful female Olympian, and now Category A licenced jockey, Victoria Pendleton MBE has been announced as guest speaker at Women in Racing's (WiR) Fifth Annual General Meeting at Royal Windsor Racecourse on Monday 16 May. The Berkshire track is also celebrating its 150th year of horseracing at the racecourse.
Victoria, who was recently successful in her 'Switching Saddles' campaign where she rode in the Cheltenham Festival Foxhunters on board PACHA DE POULDER, will be joined by National Hunt trainer Lawney Hill and interviewed by At The Races producer and presenter Vanessa's Ryle. The evening's racing will also be extra special as Royal Windsor Racecourse will be celebrating Her Majesty The Queen’s 90th birthday with a 'Royal Night Out' themed fixture. WiR will also be marking The Queen's birthday as a leading female figure in horseracing.
Tickets to this WiR event are only £10 for WiR members and £25 for non-members and includes the AGM; Victoria Pendleton and Lawney Hill in conversation with Vanessa Ryle over a champagne reception with canapés and an evening of racing action. The event will commence with the AGM from 3.30pm, the guest speakers and champagne from 4.30pm and the first race at 6pm. Tickets must be booked in advance by 6 May.
