Di Farrell-ThomasSports Development, Education, Diversity in Racing
Di has worked in the sports development industry for many years, including Regional Manger roles for National Governing Bodies, Badminton England and England Hockey. She has also worked for local authorities, increasing sports participation by developing inclusive and targeted community programmes.
For the last four years, she has been at the British Racing School as the Industry Courses Manager; developing training opportunities for those on the practical and administrative side of the industry. Aside from this Di is part of the industry-led Diversity in Racing Steering Group, and passionately believes in equality and inclusion, sitting on the sub groups for LGBTQ+ progression and Jockey Gender Equality.
Di has a great deal of first-hand experience guiding people with regards to career choices and continued professional development to ensure they achieve their full potential.
Outside of work Di is a keen sportswoman; playing hockey, running, and representing GB at duathlon…and of course a love of horse racing.
