Women in Racing appoints Tallulah Lewis as new Chair

Gill Nevin, Lauren Minchin and Shelley Coles join committee

 

Women in Racing has appointed Tallulah Lewis as the new Chair of the network that supports women involved in horseracing.

 

Tallulah, who joined the committee in 2016, has worked within the horseracing industry for a number of years including for key stakeholders, The Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association, Weatherbys Ltd and currently works for the Alizeti Group who are acquiring the Tote.

 

Tallulah Lewis said:

“I am honoured to have been appointed as Chair of Women in Racing. In its 10th anniversary year Women in Racing is now established as a key organisation within horseracing and I look forward to continuing to work closely with the industry, our members and women throughout horseracing to achieve our goals.”

 

As well as a new Chair, Women in Racing is also welcoming three new members to  its committee, who were voted in by WiR members. Gill Nevin, Legal Director at Keoghs LLP, Lauren Minchin, Regulatory Advisor at British Horseracing Authority and Shelley Coles, Liaison Officer at the Point to Point Authority, will join the committee for a term of three years.  Susannah Gill and Julie Deadman step down from the committee and the committee would like to thank them for all they have contributed during their time on the committee.

Women in Racing will be hosting its annual mentoring event at The AllBright, Mayfair on Tuesday 9th July.  The AllBright have an international city based collective of clubs and academy’s and aim to support women throughout their career journey. 

 

The event will provide attendees with mentoring advice and include a panel discussion withDena Arstall (Founder, Ad Libitum), Lynn Tomkins (Chair, Skills 4 UK Ltd), Suzanne Homewood (Enterprise Sales Director, Samsung), and Annie Lee (Development Coach and Facilitator, Annie Lee Associates Ltd)The event will also include an introduction from Rose Grissell (Head of Diversity and Inclusion, British Horseracing Authority). For full event information and to book tickets please visit https://www.womeninracing.co.uk/events/women-racing-mentoring-event-allbright-mayfair/
