Women in Racing is enormously grateful to Ascot for their generosity. Call for members to join the Women in Raicng Committee or become Regional Representatives

Women in Racing would like any member who wishes to be part of the committee to send a 250 word application to the Deputy Chair, Tallulah Lewis, at tallulah.Lewis@womeninracing.co.uk.

If there are more applications than spaces available on the committee, Women in Racing members may be asked to vote which will take place via the Women in Racing website in the weeks ahead of the AGM.

The Committee is made up of 9-12 members of Women in Racing who work on a voluntary basis. The committee appoints a Chair and Deputy Chair on an annual basis with other committee members picking up an agreed responsibility,covering the core areas of activity including Finance, Events, Communications, Membership and the Bursary and Mentoring programmes. Committee members are expected to attend, or dial in to, four meetings a year and pick up work in between as needed. The list of existing Committee members can be found here: https://www.womeninracing.co.uk/contact/.

Once applications for the committee have been received there will be a vote which Women in Racing members will be contacted about ahead of the AGM.

Alongside committee members, Women in Racing is looking to appoint Regional Representatives for the first time. As the organisation continues to work to improve its offering for members it wants to ensure all members, and potential members, have someone local to them who can be a Women in Racing contact point.

Regional Representatives will cover Great Britain and Ireland, with areas to be agreed once interest levels have been gauged. Regional Representatives will be responsible for:

• Acting as a point of contact for members and potential members;

• Promoting Women in Racing membership and events in their area using their network of contacts;

• Feeding back information to, and working alongside, the Women in Racing committee;

• Contributing to the AGM or any other events as appropriate.

Regional Representatives would be expected to be members of Women in Racing and it is an unpaid role. Those interested in becoming a Regional Representative should contact catherine.nash@womeninracing.co.uk.

If anyone would like an informal conversation about potentially joining the committee or becoming a Regional Representative please feel free to contact tallulah.Lewis@womeninracing.co.uk or susannah.gill@womeninracing.co.uk
